Exam Pattern & Syllabus
Exam Mode : Online (CBT). Marking Scheme : 1 Mark For Each Correct Answer. Negative Marking : 1/4th Mark
Science Subjects : The total duration of the online test shall be 60 minutes and shall comprise English, Physics, and Mathematics as per the 10+2 CBSE syllabus. Other Than Science Subjects : The total duration of the online test shall be 45 minutes and shall comprise English as per the 10+2 CBSE syllabus and Reasoning & General Awareness. Science Subjects & Other Than Science Subjects : The total duration of the online test shall be 85 minutes and shall comprise English, Physics, and Mathematics as per the 10+2 CBSE syllabus and Reasoning & General Awareness (RAGA).

Visit Official Website : Go to agnipathvayu.cdac.in or iafrecruitment.edcil.co.in. Registration : Click on "Agniveer Vayu Intake 01/2027" and register using a valid email ID and mobile number. Fill Application Form : Log in, fill in personal, educational, and communication details. Upload Documents : Upload scanned photos, signatures, and left-thumb impressions (following size constraints). Pay Fee : Pay the application fee of ₹550 + GST. Submit & Print : Submit the form and download the confirmation page.
Selection Process
Phase 1 - Online Written Examination : Science Subjects (Group X) : 60 minutes (Physics, Maths, English) Other than Science Subjects (Group Y) : 45 minutes (English, Reasoning & General Awareness - RAGA) Both : 85 minutes (Science + Other subjects) Marking : +1 for correct, -0.25 for incorrect, 0 for unattempted. Phase II - Physical Fitness Test (PFT) & Adaptability : Document Verification : Initial screening. Physical Fitness Test (PFT) : 1.6 km run to be completed in 7 minutes (males) / 8 minutes (females). PFT II (Males) : 10 Push-ups, 10 Sit-ups, and 20 Squats within specified timeframes. Adaptability Test-I : Objective type written test to evaluate suitability for varied weather/geographic conditions. Adaptability Test-II : Evaluation to ensure adaptation to the Air Force environment and military lifestyle. Phase III - Medical Examination : Conducted by an Air Force Medical Team. Includes blood tests, X-rays, ECG, and general health check to ensure physical and mental fitness.
