OPSC Odisha Civil Services Exam 2025 Application Steps
  • Step 1 : Portal Access : Go directly to the official Odisha Public Service Commission website at opsc.gov.in.

  • Step 2 : Navigate to Apply Portal : Click on the prominent Apply Online link or tab located right on the homepage interface.

  • Step 3 : New User Registration : Click on Register, input a valid mobile number along with your email ID, and generate your login credentials.

  • Step 4 : Profile Login : Log back into the portal using your newly registered credentials via the online application link.

  • Step 5 : Profile Creation & Personal Data : Enter your accurate personal, academic, and contact details completely into the system dashboard.

  • Step 6 : Odia Language Verification : Confirm and tick your eligibility criteria confirming you can read, write, and speak the Odia language.

  • Step 7 : Upload Required Documents : Scan and upload your latest passport-sized photograph, formal signature, and required certificates in the specified format.

  • Step 8 : Application Fee Payment : Pay the examination fee of ₹700 online (note that SC, ST of Odisha, and PwD candidates are entirely exempt).

  • Step 9 : Form Review : Double-check every single block of your data carefully using the preview option before initiating the final submission.

  • Step 10 : Final Submission : Click on the submit button to generate your unique Registration ID and lock your form.

  • Step 11 : Print for Records ; Download and print out a hard copy of the submitted form as you will need to sign and submit it during the interview stage.

Selection Process

  • Stage 1 : Preliminary Examination (Screening Stage) – This consists of two objective-type multiple-choice papers (General Studies Paper-I and Paper-II/CSAT) of 200 marks each, serving purely as a qualifying screening test with 1/3rd negative marking where Paper-II requires a minimum 33% score.

  • Stage 2 : Main Examination (Written Stage) – Shortlisted candidates must take nine descriptive/essay-type papers, which include two qualifying language papers (Odia and English) and seven merit-ranking papers (comprising General Studies and one Optional Subject) for a total of 1750 marks.

  • Stage 3 : Personality Test (Interview Stage) – Candidates qualifying the Main written papers are called for a face-to-face interview carrying 250 marks to assess their overall suitability for civil services, with final merit evaluated out of a grand total of 2000 marks.
