Post Wise Qualification
Vehicle Mechanic : 10th Passed and Certificate of Motor Vehicle / Diesel / Heat Engine OR ITI Certificate Mechanic in internal Combustion Engine / Tractor Trade. Multi Skilled Worker (Painter) : 10th Passed and ITI in Painter Trade. Multi Skilled Worker (DES) : 10th Passed, ITI in Mechanic Motor / Vehicles / Tractors Trade. How to Apply
Step 1 : Download the Application Form - Visit the official website at `bro.gov.in` to download the official notification and print the application form format. Step 2 : Fill out the Details - Manually fill in your personal, educational, and technical qualification details using either English or Hindi. Step 3 : Affix Recent Photographs - Paste your latest passport-sized photograph (not older than one month) on both the application form and the Admit Card section. Step 4 : Sign and Provide Thumb Impression - Complete the declaration section by adding your official signature and left-hand thumb impression. Step 5 : Pay the Application Fee - Pay the Rs. 50/- fee (for General/OBC/EWS) online through SBI Collect in favor of "Commandant, GREF Centre, Pune-411015" and keep the e-receipt. Step 6 : Attach Supporting Documents - Attach self-attested copies of your educational certificates, ITI/Trade certificates, caste certificate (if applicable), and the fee payment e-receipt. Step 7 : Prepare the Envelope - Place all documents inside an envelope and clearly write “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF [Post Name], CATEGORY [Your Category], WEIGHTAGE PERCENTAGE IN ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION [Your %]” on the top. Step 8 : Post the Application - Send the completed application packet via Registered Post/Speed Post to Commandant, GREF Centre, Dighi Camp, Pune - 411015.
Selection Process
1. Application Shortlisting : Candidates are initially shortlisted based on their matriculation and ITI/trade certificate marks to receive the official call letter/admit card. 2. Written Examination : Candidates must pass an OMR-based or subjective test covering general knowledge, reasoning, and trade-specific technical questions. 3. Physical Efficiency Test (PET) : Candidates must clear a mandatory, qualifying physical fitness test (typically a 1-mile run within a specified time limit) to assess endurance. 4. Practical / Trade Test : Shortlisted candidates must demonstrate hands-on trade proficiency (e.g., engine repair for Mechanic, painting techniques for Painter) and score a minimum of 40% to qualify. 5. Document Verification : Candidates must present all original educational, technical trade, caste, and experience certificates for rigorous administrative authentication. 6. Primary Medical Examination (PME) : Finalists undergo a strict medical fitness assessment conducted by a GREF Medical Board to ensure they meet the physical standards required for harsh border terrains.
