Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC), Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test (JHTET) 2026 - Qualification Details

JTET Paper 1 (Primary) (Classes 1–5) Qualifications
  • Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with a minimum of 45% marks, coupled with a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed).
  • Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) program from a recognized institution.
  • Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with a minimum of 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Special Education (D.Ed. – Special Education).
JTET Paper 2 (Upper Primary) (Classes 6–8) Qualifications
  • Graduation with at least 45% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed), either completed or appearing in the final year.
  • Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and enrollment in or completion of a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) or B.A./B.Sc.Ed program from a recognized institution.
  • B.A. (Education), B.Sc. (Education), or B.Ed (Special Education) with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized institution.

    • The exam features 150 objective-type questions (MCQ) with no negative marking.
  • Result & Certification :
