Selection Process
The selection process for the CSIR-IMMT Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) Recruitment 2026 (7 vacancies) is designed to test basic aptitude and practical suitability for administrative support roles. The process follows these three primary stages: Competitive Written Examination This is the most critical stage for selection. The exam is objective (MCQ) based and follows a Class 10 standard. Total Questions : 150 Total Marks : 450 (+3 for correct, -1 for incorrect) Duration : 2 Hours Subjects & Weightage : General Awareness : 50 Questions (150 Marks) English Language : 50 Questions (150 Marks) General Intelligence : 25 Questions (75 Marks) Quantitative Aptitude : 25 Questions (75 Marks) Proficiency/Skill Test (Qualifying) Candidates who meet the cut-off in the written exam are called for a Skill or Trade Test. This stage is qualifying in nature, meaning the marks won't be added to the final merit list, but you must pass it to remain eligible. Tasks : May include basic office maintenance knowledge, physical endurance (like carrying files/dak), or specific trade-related tasks if specified for the post.
