How to Apply
Step 1 : Visit the official HPSC website at hpsc.gov.in and navigate to the "Advertisements" section. Step 2 : Click the "Apply Online" link next to Advertisement No. 22/2026 for HCS (Ex. Br.) & Other Allied Services. Step 3 : Register yourself using a valid Mobile Number and Aadhaar Number/VID to create your Login ID and Password. Step 4 : Log in with your new credentials and fill in all mandatory personal, educational, and category details. Step 5 : Select your Optional Subject for the Mains examination and provide your exam center preferences. Step 6 : Upload scanned copies of your recent passport-sized photograph, signature, and required certificates (80–200 kb). Step 7 : Pay the application fee online (₹1000 for General/Other State Males; ₹250 for Females and SC/BC/ESM of Haryana) via UPI, Net Banking, or Card. Step 8 : Review all details carefully and click Submit, as no correction window is typically provided after final submission. Step 9 : Mandatory : Download and print the submitted application form, sign it, and upload the signed copy back to the portal to complete the process. Step 10 : Retain a hard copy of the final confirmation page for your records and future reference.
Selection Process
Preliminary Examination (Screening) : Consists of two objective-type papers (General Studies and CSAT) of 100 marks each to shortlist candidates for the next stage. Mains Written Examination (Descriptive) : Comprises six descriptive papers (English, Hindi, and four General Studies papers) totaling 600 marks. Personality Test / Viva-Voce (Interview) : A face-to-face assessment carrying 75 marks to evaluate the candidate’s personality, leadership, and general awareness. Final Merit List : Prepared by aggregating the marks obtained in the Mains Examination (600) and the Interview (75) for a total out of 675 marks. Document Verification & Medical Examination : Final verification of eligibility documents and a medical fitness test specifically required for certain posts like DSP.
