How to Apply

  • Registration Window : Ensure you apply online at www.joinindiannavy.gov.in between 14 March (00:01 hrs) and 06 April 2026 (17:00 hrs).

  • Eligibility Check : Confirm you are an unmarried Indian male or female born within the specific date ranges for each batch (01 Dec 2004 – 31 Oct 2009 for the overall INET 2026 eligibility) and have passed Matriculation (10th) with at least 50% aggregate marks.

  • Document Preparation : Scan and prepare your original certificates, mark sheets, Domicile certificate, and NCC certificate (if applicable) for uploading.

  • Photograph : Upload a recent color passport photo (taken from March 2026 onwards) where you are holding a black slate in front of your chest with your name and the date the photo was taken written in white chalk.

  • Live Capture : Be prepared for a live photograph to be captured via webcam during the application process.

  • City Preferences : Select three city preferences for your Indian Naval Entrance Test (INET) location.

  • Fee Payment : Pay the examination fee of ₹550 plus 18% GST through online modes like Net Banking, Credit/Debit card, or UPI.

  • Correction Period : If needed, use the two-day correction window available after the application closing date to amend any submitted details.

Selection Process

The selection process for the Indian Navy Agniveer (MR) 01/2027 and 02/2027 batches consists of the following sequential steps:

  • Step 1 : Online Application – Candidates must apply online at joinindiannavy.gov.in between March 14 and April 06, 2026.

  • Step 2 : Stage-I (INET) – Eligible candidates (except NCC 'C' and Sponsor holders) appear for a 30-minute computer-based Indian Navy Entrance Test.

  • Step 3 : State-wise Shortlisting – Based on INET marks, candidates are shortlisted state-wise for the next stage of recruitment.

  • Step 4 : Stage-II Physical Fitness Test (PFT) – Shortlisted candidates must pass mandatory physical tasks, including a 1.6 km run and squats.

  • Step 5 : Stage-II Written Examination – Candidates who qualify the PFT immediately sit for a second objective-type written exam.

  • Step 6 : Recruitment Medical Examination – Those passing the PFT and written exam undergo a medical assessment by military doctors.

  • Step 7 : All India Merit List – A provisional select list is prepared based on Stage-II written exam performance for those medically fit.

  • Step 8 : Final Induction (INS Chilka) – Selected candidates undergo final Pre-Enrolment Medicals and document verification at INS Chilka before training.
