How to Apply

Registration and Profile Setup

• One-Time Registration (OTR) : You must first register on the OTR portal before you can fill out the Online Recruitment Application (ORA).

• Enter Particulars : Provide your details (Name, Father’s Name, Mother’s Name, and Date of Birth) exactly as they appear on your Matric Certificate.

• Upload Documents : You are required to upload a scanned passport-size photograph (not older than one month) and your scanned signature. Both files must be in JPG, JPEG, or PNG format and should not exceed 1 MB each.

Filling the Application (ORA)

• Access the Portal : Applications must be submitted through the official HPRCA website : https://hprca.hp.gov.in.

• Application Window : Ensure you submit your application between April 10, 2026, and May 02, 2026 (until 11:59 PM).

• Provide Contact Info : Use a working mobile number and email ID, as all official communication regarding roll numbers and tests will be sent through these channels.

• Select Category : Choose your category carefully. Bonafide residents of Himachal Pradesh can claim reservation benefits (SC, ST, OBC, EWS, etc.), while candidates from other states will be treated as General (UR).

Fee Payment

• Total Fee : A total fee of ₹800.00 is required, which includes a ₹100 examination fee and a ₹700 processing fee.

• Payment Mode : Payment must be made online via Credit Card, Debit Card, or Net Banking. No other mode of payment (like offline forms or cash) is accepted.

Final Submission and Corrections

• Submit and Print : After completing the form and payment, download and print a copy of the submitted application. You will need to bring this, along with original certificates, for document verification later.

• Correction Window : If you make an error, a correction window will open for seven days, starting three days after the closing date. Using this window requires a ₹100.00 fee.

Selection Process

• Online Application : Candidates must complete a One-Time Registration (OTR) and submit an Online Recruitment Application (ORA) by May 2, 2026.

• Written Examination : Applicants undergo a Computer-Based Test (CBT) or OMR-based screening test consisting of 120 multiple-choice questions.

• Minimum Qualifying Marks : General category candidates must score at least 45%, while reserved category candidates must score at least 40% to pass the test.

• Score Normalization : For CBT exams conducted in multiple shifts, raw scores are standardized using the Z-Score normalization method.

• Merit List Preparation : A merit list is created based on the performance in the screening test.

• Document Verification : Shortlisted candidates must present their original certificates and self-attested photocopies to confirm eligibility.

• Final Allocation : Selection and department allocation are finalized based on the "Merit-cum-Option-cum-Availability of Post" formula.

• Waiting Panel : A category-wise waiting list is maintained, remaining valid for one year from the date of the recommendation.
