Post Wise Qualification
Mining Sirdar : 10th Passed or, Degree / Diploma in Mining Engineering, Valid Mining Sirdarship Certificate of Competency, Valid Gas Testing Certificate, Valid First Aid Certificate. Deputy Surveyor : 10th Passed or, Degree / Diploma in Mining / Mine Surveying Engineering, Surveyors’ Certificate of Competency (SCC) . Assistant Foreman (Electrical) : 10th Passed, Diploma in Electrical Engineering.

Visit Portal : Access the official SECL website at https://secl-cil.in/ and navigate to Career > Employment Notification > Apply Online. Registration : Register by entering your name, mobile number, email ID, and the post you are opting for to receive your User ID and Password. Login : Re-lo gin to your account using the credentials sent to your mobile and email. Fill Application : Complete the online application form with your personal and educational details and select up to three preferred test cities. Upload Documents : Upload scanned copies of your recent color photograph, signature, and relevant educational and category certificates in the specified formats (jpg/jpeg/PDF). Preview & Correct : Review the preview of your application and make any necessary corrections before final submission, as changes are not allowed later. Fee Payment : Pay the application fee of ₹1,180 (for UR/OBC/EWS) online; SC, ST, PwBD, female, and departmental candidates are exempted from this fee Final Submission : Press the submit button and keep a printout of the completed online application form for your future reference.
Selection Process
Computer Based Test (CBT) : Candidates undergo an objective-type test consisting of 100 questions (50 on professional knowledge and 50 on general awareness/aptitude) to be completed in 90 minutes. Minimum Qualifying Marks : To pass the CBT, General/EWS candidates must score 50%, while SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/PwBD candidates require 40%. Merit List : A merit list is prepared based solely on the marks obtained in the CBT for each post and category. Document Verification : Shortlisted candidates must present original certificates (educational, technical, and category) for scrutiny to confirm their eligibility. Medical Examination : Final selection is subject to being found medically fit as per the Coal India Limited (CIL) medical standards. Final Result : The recommendation for appointment is made based on the merit position and successful verification of all credentials.
